Founding City

With this game, the team wanted to focus on merging different architectures together. This can be observed on Nier Automata clearly.

Just like in Nier's world, where machines were creating their new environments with the ruins of the old world, the team wanted our players to create their own world with the parts they collected from the world.

In this game, team also focused the change in our day to day cities. The team wanted non-architect players to experience with designing in a historical landscape with modern parts and architect players to have a testing ground. For that focused on three countries architecture; China, Mexico and Turkey.

Then selected modern and historical buildings from these countries to build the base world. With the leveling system the team made sure the final level players will see is the level that was made only with the buildings they completed during game play.

Making an athmospheric environment with the arhictectural styles was the best part for me while designing this game. Modelling the buildings and creating the random spawning code was enjoyable as an architect and environment design lover.
